Make sure that if you are having a website built, or if you have one now and you are going to have a new company do the maintenance, or even a redesign, that you are aware of what language your site is built in, what type of server it is or has to be housed on, and what type of database it is using. You could save yourself a lot of time and a lot of hassle.
